ENGINEERED HARDWOODS

FLOORING OVERVIEW

DINGE WOOD FLOORING will blow your mind! Pictures don't do our floors justice. You actually need to see them. Order a samples [ here ]

Our engineered hardwood floors
have many advantages over solid wood floors. The layered construction techniques used in our wide planks won't cause gaps when the winter contracts the wood fibers. Our layers won't "pop" when the summer heat swells the wood fibers. Simply put, these floors stay how you want them, flat! Plus engineered flooring is more stable than solid wood floors because there is less warping and cupping.

Of course, manufacturing is only one component of awesome floors. The highest factor on the floor list is of course color. Would you like that same rustic drift wood gray from the beaches of Seattle on your floors? Well we can give it to you. All we ask in return is that you come back and tell us how blown your mind is!
Better yet, submit pictures and we will post them in our project pics.

Numerous styles are available and can fit any space stylistically. Not only are our flooring products beautiful and enduring, but they are 100% natural, stained and finished with VOC free products and top coated with low VOC matte finishes to keep the sheen down. Be impressed, order samples here

Hardwood flooring prices range based on wood species and board width. However, to give you a ballpark idea, white oak flooring, 8" widths, stained and sealed with UV topcoat run 18$/sq. ft.

COLORS

SANDSTONE, WHITE WASH

Picture
Hickory stained in SANDSTONE will have a mixture of soft grays and smooth tans. Has a white wash finish.

Wood is a natural material that features changes in color and tone. The board-to-board color variation is more pronounced in this species, than in others. If you like the look of contrasting light and dark tones, select a species that offers most color variation.

Hickory  is harder than oak, the industry benchmark. The density/hardness of the wood species and its ability to withstand foot traffic, children and pets, makes hickory an outstanding species if you have high traffic areas in your home or office.

DRIFT, WHITE WASH

DINGEWOOD colors replicate those of nature, but our textures add the finishing touch. Select textures are available for superior weathered look and feel. Chose from six textures: planed, band sawn, wire brushed, skip sawn, circle sawn, and hand scraped.
  • Planed texture  is produced by a planer and is the smoothest of the all the textures.
  • Band sawn texture is produced by bandsaw mills and is also a rough-sawn texture, just less rough that circle sawn, with less dimensional variation.
  • Wire brushed texture is done by a wire brush machine. The machine grooves out the soft portions of the wood, creating a lot of dimension and highlighting the grain.
  • Skip sawn texture is similar to our circle sawn texture, but the saw skips, creating a  random and time worn look.
  • Circle sawn texture is produced by circular mills and is a rough textures.
  • Hand scraped texture is produced by hand. Craftsman meticulously hand scrape, sculpt, and pillow all ends and edges of each board. Craftsmen follow the grain and pattern of each board to accentuate the beauty of each plank.

Textured case and base can be topcoated to create a durable, long-lasting wood surface.
